Sadat Museum

Sadat Museum is located in his home, which was built in 1962 in the village of Mit Abu al-Kum, his hometown, which he was so proud of, so Late President Sadat made its hall a place for meeting world leaders, statesmen and the people of his village. After the death of President Sadat, Mr. Anwar Esmat Sadat bought the house in 1995.

In commemoration of the late President, Ms. Jehan Dissouki, the wife of the president's nephew, Esmat Sadat, proposed, after buying the home, to make the hall as a museum and library to remind people of the owner and turn this place a cultural spot which was at some time, an important place in which great decisions and achievements made in the time of Anwar Sadat.
